SASKATOON, Aug. 15, 2018 /CNW/ - Rogers announces improved wireless service in the community of Hampton Village in the City of Saskatoon. Now Rogers and Fido customers in this community will have a faster, more reliable and consistent wireless experience than ever before.

"We are on the brink of the next generation of network technology, improved wireless enhancements connect customers and businesses in Saskatoon to the moments that matter most in their lives today and prepare our network for tomorrow."

With this network investment, Rogers and Fido customers in Hampton Village will be able to connect to more of the things they love, whether that means streaming their favourite TV shows, downloading work documents, posting on social media or even just chatting with friends. This investment will also benefit our business customers in the Village Centre. Today's announcement is one of several new Rogers wireless investments in the Province of Saskatchewan including in the City of Regina.

This network enhancement in the City of Saskatoon is part of a multi-year national network plan. In the future, Rogers will bring customers Gigabit LTE and 5G with next generation ready technology and equipment that is based on the latest global 3GPP standards, including 4x4 MIMO, four-carrier aggregation and 256 QAM. Rogers is working with Ericsson, a North American leader in network infrastructure and 5G deployment.  As part of this plan, Rogers will continue to boost and densify its network with small cells and macro sites across the country.

Furthering support of the growing economy in Medicine Hat, on July 5, Rogers formally acquired CJCY-FM (102.1 CJCY Classic Hits), and joins the Rogers station CKMH-FM (105.3 ROCK). This acquisition also serves to strengthen Rogers Media's diverse roster of radio and television brands in Alberta, including 14 radio stations in the genres of Rock, Country, Top 40, and Multicultural, along with TV properties; Citytv, OMNI Television, and Sportsnet.

Company is investing in local economy and employing more than 1,000 people in Greater Moncton

MONCTON, NB, July 17, 2018 /CNW/ - Rogers is growing its Moncton call centre by creating 215 new jobs in order to provide the best service experience to its customers.  With these new hires, Rogers will employ more than 1,000 people in greater Moncton, including call centre agents, sales reps, technicians and corporate positions.
